Shashi Tharoor: Nobody in North is learning Malayalam and Tamil. Senior Congress pioneer Shashi Tharoor Sunday said the answer for the three language recipe isn’t by surrendering the thought however by its better execution, ANI announced. Tharoor’s comment was in reference to the ongoing furore in Tamil Nadu over the proposals of the Draft National Education arrangement 2019 advancing Hindi as the obligatory third language in schools everywhere throughout the nation.

“The arrangement isn’t to surrender the three dialects equation however to actualize it in a superior way,” ANI cited Tharoor as saying.

Tharoor said that the three-language recipe goes back to mid-1960s however it was never appropriately executed. “The majority of us in South India learn Hindi as a second language however no one in the North is learning Malayalam and Tamil,” he said.
