Hope govt takes independent decision on Huawei, says India CEO

Hope govt takes independent decision on Huawei, says India CEO. Chinese telecom gear producer Huawei Monday said its commitment with the Indian government for 5G preliminaries has been “certain” and trusted that India will make its “own free choice” on the issue.

The remarks accept importance as the recently named Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad prior in the day insinuated the antagonistic issue of whether Huawei will be permitted to take an interest in the forthcoming 5G preliminaries saying it is a “mind boggling issue” and will be taken a gander at genuinely including security angles.

“I believe it’s the opportune time for DoT to settle on the choice after right around 6-8 months of close commitment.. They are very upbeat and positive in the commitment,” Huawei Telecommunications India CEO Jay Chen said on the sidelines of a COAI board talk on 5G.

He further expressed that “US puts a ton of weight on numerous administrations yet I trust Indian government will settle on their own free choice”.
