A Mumbai-based Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer set off a political line by posting a questionable tweet on Mahatma Gandhi. In a tweet posted on May 17, IAS officer Nidhi Choudhary made critical comments against Mahatma Gandhi and celebrated his executioner Nathuram Godse. On 17 May, Nidhi had tweeted: “What an excellent festival of 150th birth year is going on. High time, we expel his face from our cash, his resolutions from over the world, rename foundations/streets named after him! That would be a genuine tribute from us all! ThankU Godse for 30.01.1948 (sic).” She is as of now posted as Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Special) of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
